4-Hand Piano

This was originally composed to fulfill a graduation requirement for two Chinese Piano Majors at Longy. Looking back, it was silly of me to partake in such an endeavor. The players couldn’t really understand English, and their messy interpretation of the rhythmic timing resulted in a half-baked performance. On the other hand, it extended my chops as a Composer, and I love the melodies and harmonic development that came with this piece. The pianists were supposed to play a Bb7 chord in the main theme, but I ended up liking the mistake so much that I made it part of the score! Looking back, this piece is the closest composition I have that sounds a Baroque piece or a Piano Sonata (although to this day, I still don’t fully know how a Sonata works).
