Mass of Holiness was one of the last compositions I worked on at Longy, and ever since I graduated in 2017, this piece has gone places. The last movement, “Lamb of God”, was the first one to be performed live. It was sung for a my brother’s First Mass as a newly ordained priest, right in the heart of Rome in May 2017. It was performed in a capella in a small beautiful chapel. Over the years, that movement, as well as the “Alleluia” and “Amen” have performed in other Masses in the US over the years. I wanted to get the MASS out there for a long time, and around the Fall of 2024, I found a way to distribute it.
What is significant about this MASS is that it exposes the Dramatic Nature of each movement as the MASS unfolds. (For instance, the “Glory” movement is grand, the “Alleluia” is anticipatory, the “Lamb of God” is peaceful etc.)
